I know I've told this story before, but my hometown newspaper had a story about attempted bank robbery

The would-be robber showed up to the bank in his ski mask (in summer) and carrying a duffle bag.
However, he got there at 8:30 and the branch didn't open until 9:00 so the doors were locked. He stood at the front doors banging for the staff to let him in and finally got frustrated and fled. :D
