I think the fallout from Wednesday on leadership, Mitch et al, is that the stupid games are over. There’s politics in the office but the time to take

Shots at the electoral process is over. They saw up close and personal what it means and how insane some are. Unless there is a glaring issue (think Daley in 1960 in Chicago); they are going to meekly acknowledge the results and get in with it. Now, they may stall the timing as far as allowed

Everyone there who truly matters knows what Trump is. His SecState and SecTreas aren’t even arguing the 25th isn’t necessary; but instead the consequences being too risky to invoke. That’s an optic that the people around him are moving past him. Sure, he’s got his boot lickers in Congress but very few are in a position to aid him overtly.
