Okay so Phil pushes his engines hard to get through the ice, and he is mad at the mechanic that it blew? Isn't it Phil's fault there?
Or did I miss something?

Phil was referring to when the ship is in drydock the mechanic would fix the easy stuff, and not go the extra mile to tell Phil something else is
