I think there is a lot of truth in that, and yet I think its more complex than that because I think there are a lot of people who truly believe the

vote was stolen/they were cheated because the narrative has been repeated so often. I have little doubt of the cynical use of this argument by many, but I think there are people who truly believe the cynical lie, without focusing on the underlying points. To some extent that's reflects the sort of institutionalized nature of racism, but it is a distinction worth noting.
