Typically, if it eventually leads to getting married, they forget that pretty quickly.

Not saying it will or won't, just that it does. It ties back into parents saying, "Never date someone you wouldn't want to marry." Not that you might end up marrying that person, but the fact that it might keep you form "the one". Sorry, rambling with a migraine.
