So what I was trying to figure out with regards to pardons and the fifth amendment but IANAL...

This is my possibly incorrect understanding.
If I committed a crime with another person and that person was on trial and I was called as a witness, I could plead the fifth to any question that might incriminate me.
If I was given a full pardon for the crime, I could not be punished for the crime.
Does this void my right against self incrimination seeing as I can't be punished for the crime?
If so and I was called as a witness in the the other person's trial could I be compelled to answer questions that could incriminate me or be held in contempt?
