FWIW, my family always double-masks whenever we're in a public space.

I have a mask and a gaiter over the top of it (to cover up those spaces on the side of my nose that seem to allow air in and out of).

My daughter uses a disposable mask under a regular (reusable) mask.

MrsJax double masks with the reusable masks a lot, or does the mask+gaiter (at hockey games).
