Divorce and adultery WERE crimes once upon a time in the 60s and 70s.

With the exception of a handful of restrictions, I don't think the government should not be involved in determining who should be able to marry. The government should recognize any union between any two people provided those two people enter into the union willingly.

Restrictions are obvious:
-No marriages between anyone who is a first cousin or more closely related by blood.
-No multiples. Only 1 marriage at a time.
-Both parties must be at least 17.
