I'm not sure that's possible? There's nothing illegal about say ST deciding that we're all going to buy stock X for the lulz. If we're stupid enough -- (edited)

to do that, the price of stock X rises and others jump in that's a flaw in the actual market.
Granted that since we haven't won the lottery, the chances of our small investor pool couldn't completely drive a price jump but say that our price moves convinces some big pocket retail or even crazier institutional investors to buy significant shares.
There's some combination of that along with an actual celeb, originally investing on fundamentals, investor that seems to be driving some of the run up.
Then there was mainstream publicity and here we are.
Best I know, there's nothing illegal about any of the steps / factors along the way and what would one do for changes? Ban ST?
