Loved the movie, but still processing what I thought about the ending.
First from a strictly plot standpoint, we know Al Monroe will be punished and I assume his friend will as well. Is it clear what will happen to Ryan?
I'm thinking from a strictly legal sense he might be in the clear. There is probably a statute of limitations on the original sexual assault that he stood by and let happen. He was not involved in the murder but was not forthcoming with police when questioned. But will the lawyer use the video to ruin his life?
From a what is the message of the movie, I'm conflicted whether I would have preferred the guys to get away with it. Or is that just to nihilistic of me?
