Having been in similar positions before, I don't blame the ones avoiding an angry mob to try to do their jobs.

I would blame Rubio, Hawley, Cruz, and others who were directly complicit in these events.
But I'll give a pass to Sens. Sasse, Murkowski, Cassidy, and a few others if they want to stay out of the limelight to lessen the vitriol directed at themselves, their offices, and their staffs.
