OK, so, background: my dad is getting divorced from his wife after 8 years of marriage. She is the devil. Her daughter (who is great) got married this summer to a French guy (also great), and because of the divorce stuff and overwhelming cuntishness of my stepmother, it was obviously a very difficult time for my dad, although he stuck in there, helped pay for everything, and got his dad dance with the bride, so for him it was worth it.
Flash forward: bride and groom have finally gotten groom's green card situation taken care of. I am not an expert on green card stuff, but apparently my stepmother, and not my stepsister/his bride, will be his sponsor for citizenship. No clue why. In order to be his sponsor, she needs all her taxes up to date, and that is being held up by my dad not having filed yet. He's been working on getting it done for the divorce stuff, but it hasn't been completed yet, and apparently she has been riding his ass about it. It is now due by early next week at the latest or my stepbro-in-law might have to go back to France for a year.
I guess the stress of this + stress of new job + stress of divorce + stress of personal romantic life failure + newly diagnosed diabetic + workaholic who doesn't take care of himself well enough added up to my dad having a pretty big breakdown this weekend, really not acting like himself, migraines, etc. Went to the doc Monday morning. His BP was 185/130 (holy shit territory) and his blood sugar was like 325. They did a CAT on his head which they will get back Wed, and the doctor tried to get him to go inpatient for rest and observation until then, but my dad pleaded and the doc relented to let him rest at home if he didn't work or anything.
Which he is sort of doing, but he is still working on the taxes b/c he can't possibly let down his stepdaughter by not getting that done. Loves her too much, isn't possible for him to stop, despite my pleading.
So I call newlyweds last night, and they (b/c they are decent human beings) say that while urgent, it isn't urgent enough to die over obviously, and its fine if they don't get it til Monday, and send him an e-mail to that effect.
I call stepmom and relay all the pertinent information, including detailed info about his condition (she's a nurse). Her immediate response: "So you're saying he isn't going to have the taxes done tonight."
Bitch.
"Well, simple solution, I'll just go over there and take the stuff from him and do his damn taxes myself."
BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH!
I ended up having to call her back, after she went to my dad's house and tried to get the stuff and my dad, to his credit, didn't answer the door, and ask her as a personal favor to me to back the fuck off b/c I am worried about him and it's only going to take longer to get what she wants if she stresses him to the point that he can't even do the little work he is physically capable of right now b/c she drove his BP through the roof again.
I fucking hate her so much. So so much.
Thank you for reading.

Could you take all his stuff to an accountant for him? Just to take that pressure off?
