He's self-employed, and it generally involves back taxes and getting together invoices from hundreds of clients, etc.

He has never let anyone touch his taxes but him, ever in his life. I think getting it together for someone else to do might take longer than him doing it at this point. I offered to help in any way I could and was politely declined.
