This bullshit just reminds us how vulnerable our power grid is and the sooner we move to a distributed system, the better.

I’ll say again how all post-apocalyptic movies basically revolve around how no one has any power. A few solar panels, a windmill, and a battery in the garage/basement, and suddenly we’re all living carefree and fighting off zombies from the comfort of our own living rooms.
