*sigh* ST, I have a major dilemma this morning. Please help me.

So, as I posted last night, a car ran into a telephone pole outside the concert venue last night, took out all the power in like a 2 mile radius, and cancelled the 311 show last night. As you might have gleaned, I was supremely looking forward to this show.

Now, they have rescheduled the show for Monday night. But, next week I am out being the director of my summer camp. Which, on a normal night, I could let someone else run the evening program and leave for the concert. But Monday night is the night I planned to bring four performers in (including my sister from Brooklyn) to give short performances and do a Q&A with the kids.

So, I can either:

1) not go to the 311 show. possibly be shit out of luck on getting a refund or reselling the tickets. put on the artist showcase as scheduled.

2) convince the local performers to come tuesday night instead. my sister can webcast in via skype onto a projector for the kids. i abandon camp on monday night to go to the 311 show and the other staff can run the evening program (like, movie night, for which I am not needed).

3) the performers can't reschedule. I cancel the showcase so I can use my 311 tickets. the showcase is replaced with an evening program run by the counseling staff. everyone has fun anyway, but i sort of feel like a selfish tool.

thoughts?
