The pot has to be superfluous. Those candles are putting the exact same amount of heat into the room with and without it. -- nm

sure, but it converts it to mostly radiated heat, which would be more useful for heating a room. don't imagine it's a showstopper, but probably better

perhaps. but maybe the pot acts a bit like a battery, where the charge is stored and metered out over time.
