I think Rush excelled at going after Pres Clinton. Got famous for taking the “moral high ground”— built his reputation on being the “moral compass”

Someone “standing up to power” and being part of that movement can be intoxicating, so his influence grew.

So when it came to the last 20 years of politics, the Right blindly followed him. His fingerprints are all over the current Republican Party.

Almost all political arguments I’ve had, especially in the last 4 years, his extreme talking points and bending of logic has been parroted as supporting evidence.

He couldn’t control the tsunami he helped start, so he made it worse by diving head first into tribalism and blind support of a a president (in Trump) that will go down as one of the worst presidents and symbols of the Republican Party, ever.
