I have really, really high status at one of the chains. I've had three upgrades in the past year which have been ridiculous.

Traveling for a family wedding. Before checking in the bf went "How often have you truly been upgraded to a crazy room?" I checked in and they said not to tell the Bride and Groom which room I had. I had the presidential suite, which had 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, 8 seat dining room, 90 inch TV, and fireplace. I hosted the pre dinner and post celebration events.

Twice recently I've been upgraded to nice suites where the bedroom was separate from living area. The living area contained dining tables, extra TVs, bathrooms, and a bar. I was in one of the hotels for 5 days, and definitely had friends that lived in that city over. One room overlooked the river, and the other was top floor overlooking the city.
