They are at the point where you can just about run Win10 free-and-clear on these. I don’t actually understand the technical details tbh...

...but from what I think I get is that M1 is non-ARM or something so there’s been an initial disadvantage there while trying to run some software.

Why would one want to run Windows 10 on those machines? Or any Mac for that matter? -- nm

I’m sure there are reasons. I switched to Mac after putting my last Windows desktop out of its misery. It a decade old or so. Switched my phone two years ago. -- (edited)
