I'm sort of mixed. I think a lot of companies were generally surprised how smoothly it worked (especially at this scale). But, I also think they

haven't yet experienced the real downside risks. It's very difficult to maintain a firm/corporate culture when everyone works from home. The risk is people just don't have any real loyalty to their job and can be more easily picked off. Those costs can be enormous. Lots of places are also shrinking their footprint and using a hoteling concept, but most people I know who have that really kind of hate it. So, while there may be some short term shift, I don't expect it to last significantly (though I do think people will work from home more frequently than they used to).
