I was not including mutants as we do not really have them in the MCU, yet. Mastermind could manipulate her into *doing* these things is she has the power, but that does not feel right.
At that time, Loki would have had to have known to find the stone and get it from the Collector. That seems like a stretch as well as lazy story telling. I am expecting Mephisto or something else entirely.
But see, *this* is why dropping the episodes on a weekly basis is superior!
