In response to "Are we still doing this? When's the PS6 come out, already?! -- nm" by Mop

We are as I'd eventually like to get one but given that I purchased a PS 4 Pro at the start of 2019....

I also give it a realistic chance that this could be the last generation of consoles. Well, high powered ones. I think that between there's plenty of capabilities in this generation as well as cloud based, all the power at a remote server option that will discourage Microsoft and Sony from making cost expensive consoles ever again.

The PS4 was introduced in 2013 so that's seven years. Guess where we will be in 2027 with regards to the possibilities of on-line and see if it makes sense to make a console.

Conversely, IMO the current consoles on are the verge of becoming economically unwieldly to produce a AAA game. What would be production effort to take advantage of the hardware specs that would be available say 4-5 years from now?
