Why would Arena even give me the option to give one of my creatures haste when I'm on defense?

Opp attacks with everything cause I have lethal next turn. I left two creatures up to block to survive. Don't notice that it's the instant instead of the defend step. Went to block and when I selected the first one it tapped to give my other creature haste. THERE IS ZERO REASON FOR MY CREATURE TO HAVE HASTE WHEN IT IS NOT MY TURN.

Lost a limited match I would have won otherwise. Grr.

Arena doesn’t keep you from making terrible plays. It just shows what you’re capable of doing. I’ve inadvertently done so much self-harm in my games. - IAmQale Mar 14, 16:21 2
