I also have a story about how our Labrador started a turf war with the chihuahua gang three houses down

Roxy is our geriatric black lab and she has free roam of our backyard and side yard and even the front yard. While the gate has been missing from the front drive for over 6 months, she does not leave the yard except for...apparently to start beef with the 5 chihuahuas who live down the street. Now these dogs run our street, have since we lived here. They will stand in front of cars, glare at the mailmen and cause general mayhem. They don't bother us, we don't bother them, we make sure to slow when coming around the corner to avoid hitting any free roaming chihuahuas or the chickens they obviously herd that live at their house ( complete with roosters, hens and chicks),
how do I know she started beef? well because late Friday night, we open our kitchen door to the garage to find a present of fresh poop that is remarkably chihuahua size. Which means, one of them or more, left there house, held the poop all the way, walked into our open garage with a TV and music playing and pooped on our little carpet mat and left. This was a sign? a warning?
the last two days, Roxy has been caught in the street next to their house. So now our sweet Lab can't be trusted outside without a leash or a warden who walks with her. She has her privileges taken away. She's gone ROGUE
are the chihuahuas planning retaliation?
