But you're comparing two different types of receivers. Davis is a great route runner that should fit perfectly into the offense the Jets plan to run.

Robbie is a much different guy and while he's good at what he does, it's not route running.
In this case the Jets got a guy they wanted that will fit into their new system.
Also, Robbie was a decision made by the last regime and not the current GM. A lot has changed since we let Robbie walk. We have a new GM, new head coach, new offensive coordinator and new plan on how to run the team.
Keeping Robbie wasn't in the plans for the last regime and that can't be taken back if we wanted him to be here.
