Kelly, garlic is super easy to grow, fool proof, but i would definitely do it in the ground, not pots. and get it in asap. we plant ours in the fall

I saw something online about soaking cloves in water first, then soaking in rubbing alcohol for 5 minutes before planting. Have you done this? -- nm

Never. We buy organic garlic, or use our own, break it into cloves, plant it. -- nm

Afaik, the disinfectant is to prevent some virus, use bulb that has the root end, Chinese garlic has an indented root end to remove it -- nm
