My mother has finally decided to pay someone to mow her lawn, and weed and mulch her flower beds.

She has a few acres she has been maintaining, and she keeps it up well. But at some point her age will be a factor. She was lamenting the cost and I reminded her that she will start getting her survivor benefits for my father any day now. I said, "So, dad will be paying for it, not you." She thought on it a minute and said, "Well, if we had never divorced he would have been doing it all this time, so I guess I can accept that."
