Last year I tried an experiment, and it was about 40% successful.

I created a website that used Amazon links to sell USB port protectors. When I say 40% successful, I mean it earned back 40% of the cost of the domain registration - which is more than I expected.

Now I'm itching to try phase 2 of the experiment: creating multiple such sites (for specific product categories that I think will sell well) and driving actual traffic to them.

I might start one tonight.
