And if they had gone Rubio, Curry, and then Lawson at 18, they don't need to trade Lawson away. Rubio decides to be a holdout, they are golden. Rubio doesn't, then you go into the season with a platoon position battle with 2 beast rookie PGs, or trade Lawson.

I see their thinking, sort of, but... not entirely.
