Of the 3 EV SUVs (EUVs?) I'me considering, I'm most likely to get the ID.4 but I hate it.

I currently drive a VW Atlas so I know *EXACTLY* how utterly inept their multimedia system is. Given that early prototypes of the ID.4 set off considerable alarm bells about this, yet VW opted to release it without any changes is very telling. VW doesn't know how to do in-car entertainment systems and the fact that they're dragging their feet on updates bodes ill. I fully expect that they'll release updates, but they'll be few and far between and hardly significant.

The other two cars I'm looking at is the Mustang Mach E (still very much a contender) and the Volvo XC40 Recharge (it's just too expensive, and for some crazy reason doesn't have wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto).

        Hmm, good question. The ID.4 has a number of voice commands, although I don’t know if they do that. And, from the demos I’ve seen, they don’t work, period. -- nm* - Mop Mar 28, 09:27
