Like you, I just plug my phone in and the built-in system is gone. But... only most of the time. Sometimes the car’s system has trouble recognizing the phone. And when I do have to navigate the system to change car settings, it’s a chore. The ID.4 does everything through the HUD (like temperature controls) so that’s a nightmare. Like I said above, they’re so bad at technology that using their Electrify America system can be a problem (cars don’t recognize the charger or charge at slower rates).

- Hmm, good question. The ID.4 has a number of voice commands, although I don’t know if they do that. And, from the demos I’ve seen, they don’t work, period. -- nm* - Mop Mar 28, 09:27
