I guess. And especially if someone has specified their preference. But in a case like this - I still think it's a bit much. nm

While us olds (as 97 put it) have to get used to this and have to make the effort to use the preferred pronouns...I think the youngs could stand to learn that not everything the olds say to them is an affront to them as a person.
We see a girl and we call her 'she'. With no other information available to us - there's no insult intended there. So stop taking it as one.
But again - i really think it's my age showing.
I can't tell you how many times I've been called "Ma'am" over the phone. And ya know - I don't give a fuck. Just do what I called you to do and we're all good.
