sign up for the airline's FF program, and get mail from them. I know Qantas has business class flight sales pretty frequently.

FF points are usually a pretty cost-effective way of upgrading if you have them.
also if you're willing to chance economy, a lot of airlines will also auction excess business class seats in the days leading up to the flight. that's almost always cheaper than buying outright.
