Not sure how much VW is doing in-house with that. But if the screen is the UI, lag can't happen.

It probably partly explains why there are still so many physical buttons in these cars.
No lag with my Tesla at all. They do all the software in house and treat as or more seriously than the physical hardware of the car itself.
