Any wireless system can be hacked. I just really shudder at the idea of one of these systems

Being hijacked.
Never mind the more dystopian stuff of soldiers with remote weapons, etc.
In the end, it's another tool, and we'll have to decide how to manage eventual misuse. But the failure state of some tools is really unpleasant.
