They wouldn't let her check in for her flight because the flight was overbooked and she was 2 minutes past their 30-minute rule and gave away her seat

regardless of the fact that the website only says that passengers must at the gate 15 minutes prior to departure.
they rebooked her on a flight out of LGA but wouldn't comp her the bus ride, even though, according to what I read on the DoT website, she should by all rights be entitled to double her ticket price for being involuntarily bumped from the flight.
