Yup. The jokes make people think it's not as nice as it is. I bet most people that voted haven't visited the state or just passed through it.

We have the same issues with people thinking NYC is a crime ridden hell hole because that's what a lot of the movies show people. It was a crime ridden hell hole. Now it's just a rat infested hell hole.
