Thoughts, prayers, best wishes requested

For the past two and a half weeks, my wife has had no appetite. Food makes her naseous, and she gets full extremely quickly. When she does eat, it usually come back out as diarrhea. It's as if she unvoluntarily became bulimic and anorexic.

What's weird is that her energy level has greatly increased. She constantly wants to run or exercise - just to feel "relaxed".

Over the past few days, she's started to feel dizzy, and has had trouble occassionally finding words to end sentences, or kinda drifts off into space when thinking. It's very frightening.

After having to explain to nurses multiple times that she wasn't voluntarily doing all this, we finally got a doctor's appointment today.

The doctor made the right call, and his main focus was trying to find a way for her to eat, and keep things down. Seems pretty obvious, right? So, she got plenty of bloodwork done, a prescription for a stomach acid reducer, and a call into a thyroid specialist (her thyroid levels were splightly elevated).

It's still all very scary, but at least now we have someone actively trying to figure out why she can't eat. Paging Dr. House...it really feels like she's living an episode of the show.
