baseball, football, hockey, and NASCAR too, right? It's not like EU/LATAM football is novel in that way is it? (I get the impression basketball grew from collegiate sports, and golf/tennis from country clubs)

Brooklyn Dodgers moving to California is the first betrayal I can think of.
