It's very difficult to keep the grass controlled in between panels. You have either cut the boards up off the grass enough to scalp under them, or

figure out some barrier to keep stuff from growing in the middle.
I have told my nice HOA 'president' that I'd vote to depose him if anyone ever ran on a No ShadowBox rule for fences.
Amendment would carry unanimously.
