especially for crash davis: Sasquatch (Hulu) is a documentary that asks if a Bigfoot committed three grisly murders in marijuana country in northern
CA in the 1990s.
It starts well, and the animated scenes throughout are an effective touch. The not-too-wacky characters are enjoyable, especially the investigative reporter at the center of the story. The doc does a good job of exploring the peculiarities of the culture in that area in the time.
Of course, it suffers from the failings of almost all true crime series, but this one (three episodes totaling just over two hours) at least doesn't play out nearly as long as most of the others I've seen.
