match your back wheel with the car in front of the spot's back wheel
While stopped, turn your steering wheel all the way towards the spot. Yes, all the way. ALL THE WAY.
Now, start reversing without turning the wheel (WITHOUT) until your rear tire is as far as away from the curb as you want. Stop.
Turn the wheel back to straight and keep reversing until you're in line with the spot. Stop.
Pull forward to finish.
