Sure, but the people doing that weren't sold a bill of goods on space tourism and other things

They were originally all military test pilots -- they got in a plane working to protect and defend American interests.

Even though it's shifted, there's still a master's degree requirement and thousands of hours in pilot programs.

Truly, the serious people doing this know it's risky. They don't need to have a hype-man selling the experience.
