Stopping by one of those was a thrill when I was growing up.

We'd take the tollway from Chicago to Milwaukie a couple times a year for go-kart races. My dad would never want to stop at one of those because he said the prices were way too high to gouge tourists, but once in a while we'd stop at a Denny's at an oasis. It was like going to an amusement park. :-)
