In response to "Would anyone care to defend Nomadland's Best Picture win? I thought it was "fine" but not particularly compelling compared to much of the competition -- nm" by rollo

I thought it was a very poetic look at that largely ignored segment of the American population. The way it was photographed really paralleled its

themes - the wideness of the shots and the amount of space captured in them went along with the boundary-lessness of the lives those people led.
