I hear ya. During quarantine, there is a community of scientists who did home lessons, including chemistry. My grad school friend Susan did some.

Her specific lessons were directed at younger kids, and I get that your students are older.
I genuinely believe it is possible to do lessons for older kids, and I strongly suspect that over the last year, there are awesome teachers out there who did it.
