A little update: Got the iPhone X. It appears to be a beauty with the only downside being an 89% battery, which is honestly still fantastic...

...and can be replaced for under $100. And I was pretty much right about the psychological effects of having the Face ID, gestures, and OLED screen helping me not be so fucking angry about the robbery of the 12.

And yeah, the chip is slow. That comes into play when starting up the device or updating. But generally isn't a situation yet. Downloading is slower overall too, likely due to the lesser WiFi abilities.

So, I'll take back the SE to Apple tomorrow and end up coming out not too terribly bad. And if the police report would finally get available and if my renter's insurance allows this kind of claim, I won't be made perfectly square. But it'll be a push with a lesser phone rather than the current $400 loss and lesser phone.
