We had no idea what we were doing. Mathematically, it was 7.4 - 7.4.

The league rejected the offer after MacBain (is that anybody here?) complained.

So, we made the trade three more times, watching it get rejected each time.

Nobody ever explained why. I've never forgotten it since it seemed so random to a non-hockey fan.

And now he's a GM/team president!
