Do you eat them as you encounter them in the loaf?
Throw them out as encountered?
Do you skip them until they are the only pieces left, then eat them?
Skip, then throw them out?
Some other option?
I skip then toss.

I use the ends to ward off staleness, and then if desperate I'll eat them by lightly roasting them and spreading peanut butter and jam & folding them -- (edited)

Sliced bread ends keeps the inner slices from going stale, then toss. Eat the ends of real loaves. -- nm

I used to use them last. Now, I just eat the first one when I’m making the first sammich. Because carbs. -- nm
