in other news, i have a couple of gripes on pt 2 of Impact that's on right now ...

first of all, if you're sitting in a car, and the magnetic pulse thing is happening, and u see a bunch of cars up ahead of you starting to rise up into the sky, WHY IN THE HELL ARE U JUST SITTING THERE? GET THE FRACK OUT OF YOUR VEHICLE AND TAKE COVER !!!!
secondly, why isn't the magnetic pulse thingy pulling on the steel frames of any high rise buildings? i mean, it just lifted a cargo ship up out of the water... pulling a magneto going ugly on logan thing wouldn't be out of the question, would it??
oh, and here's a third question concerning the astrophysics of blowing up the moon instead of trying to nuclearing it into a stable orbit ... wouldn't we be just as dead without a moon? i want to say i saw a discovery show once that basically said or at least suggests that life on earth is at least partly to blame and credit the fact that we have the moon ... and once the moon was gone, what's gonna happen to the tides?
